Nicholas P. Hoeft is a senior associate with the law firm of Jostock & Jostock, P.A. He has been practicing law since 2007 and has been with the firm since the spring of 2008.

Nicholas is a graduate of and obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and graduated from Loyola University Chicago undergraduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English.

His practice concentrates in the areas of estate and succession planning, probate, trust and estate administration, real estate transactions, corporate representation and taxation issues. Nicholas is the firm’s primary litigator and has represented clients in matters before the chancery, probate, municipal and law divisions of Cook, Lake and DuPage counties and before the Illinois Appellate Court. He has argued before the Illinois Supreme Court.

He regularly represents heirs, legatees, executors, administrators and trustees in administering probate and guardianship estates, handling will and trust contests, claims for breach of fiduciary duties, citations to recover and discover as well as well as other contested and uncontested matters before the probate court. Nicholas is currently administering and has administered probate estates in over 25 counties in the State of Illinois.


Nicholas also has extensive experience in transactional matters and is highly proficient outside the courtroom. He has been involved with contract drafting and negotiation for various individuals and entities, complex commercial and residential real estate transactions as well as an assortment of business dealings and corporate issues. He is also highly involved in the firm’s estate planning practice and is experienced designing and implementing estate plans for high wealth individuals, closely held businesses and multigenerational families.

Mr. Hoeft is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
